Kibbeling can be made from different types of whitefish, but Alaska Pollock has proven to be the best. Served with a delicious creamy sauce, the tasty boneless meat of these crispy, fried fish pieces, sprinkled with seasoning, is an all-time family favorite.
Having specialized in the supply of Alaska Pollock since our company was founded in 1995, Alaska Pollock blocks have remained our most important product in terms of volume in the Benelux.
Since the takeover by Maruha Nichiro in 2013, we have been in control of the entire supply chain for our Alaska Pollock, from catch to the end product. Maruha Nichiro owns 25% of the Alaska Pollock fishing quota in the United States. As a result, we never run out of stock.
Alaska Pollock (Theragra chalcogramma) is caught by trawls in the rich waters around Alaska. All our kibbeling is sustainably caught and MSC certified.
We only supply frozen at sea Alaska Pollock under the Seacon brand. The fish is processed on board, with catch to frozen fish block taking a maximum of 8 hours, which includes the maturing time of four hours. Seacon will guarantee you the highest possible quality, and it is available in XL size.
We also supply land frozen Alaska Pollock in our Sealight brand. The ship sails to land and transports the fish straight to the processing plant. Freezing in the factory takes place within a maximum of 72 hours after the fish has been caught. Sealight is also available in XL sizes.
Our kibbeling is available in fillet size and is sawed on request into 8 or 10 handy strips. This production step takes place in Urk. We deliver Kibbeling any way you want it.
